Third in a Series Faith Reboot Year in Review ( Faith Reboot One Year Later: What I’ve Learned About Myself Through Blogging and Inspire 100s in 10 Minutes or Less )
A year ago I started Faith Reboot with the simple wish to encourage people in their faith with the plan of writing a blog every week. What I didn’t know was how difficult at times it might be to accomplish this goal! It is hard for perfectionists to press, “publish.” So many articles talk about how to blog, how to get your writing shared on social media, how to make money… it’s enough to make you fear trying. Fear failing.
So I loosened the reins.
In January I invited several friends Amy Sondova, Kelly Switala, Mari Taylor, Tanisha Henderson and Leslie Nease to join me in writing. I have been so encouraged in my faith with what they have had to share! I have also reached out to them and asked them to pray for me when I have been in need. I am so thankful for Faith Reboot Friends!
I have played writing hooky. There have been Mondays when I haven’t published anything. Yes, I felt the weight of it but probably few others did. The more I loosen the “shoulds and ought tos” on myself the more grace I can extend to others!
This summer I have a few life changes going on that will make it more difficult for me to write as often as I have been. I will be doing my radio show via my closet! Yes, you read that right. His Radio has graciously allowed me to work from home to do my Midday show 10-2 weekdays. I will also be doing daycare and helping out my daughter who (fingers crossed) may be working and doing Driver’s Ed. chauffeur duty for me!
That being said the Faith Reboot Friends and I will be switching off weeks over the summer… meaning I will be writing every other week and you’ll see a post from Amy, Kelly, Mari or Tanisha one of the other weeks through the end of August.
I am accepting my limits and giving myself grace. What is an area where YOU may be pushing yourself too hard? Are you striving to please man or God? What is a part of your life that may need a summer sabbatical?
